Hey parents keep your kids reading all summer by participating in the summer reading programs at the Renton Libraries.

Both the Renton Public Library, the Highlands Public Library have reading programs for kids of all ages up to 11 years old. Pick up your reading record at either of these libraries and get the kids reading to earn a free book and other prizes. There are also bug themed storytimes at the Renton Public Library on Monday nights at 7pm and Wednesdays at 10am starting again in July. Storytime at the Highlands Branch is Tuesday mornings at 10am and it also resumes in July.

The Renton Public Libraries also has a teen reading program and various events and activities that older kids can participate in. Click here for all the details and dates of events.

Summer is a great time to kick back at the lake or beach and a good book with your kids. Enjoy!
