Come and rock CFL’s this weekend at the Renton Lowe’s. That’s right, the Renton Lowe’s is hosting Puget Sound Energy’s and Project Porchlight’s “Rock The Bulb” Event this Saturday and Sunday.
All you have to do to get up to 10 “free” CFL bulbs is bring in those old- fashioned, high-energy using, low-tech white bulbs that you have laying around the house and trade them in for new, fancy, energy effecient, money saving CFL’s. Want to hear another thing that is totally awesome? Well, they are offering a variety of watts and shapes, it is soo cool.
However, there is a very important thing to remember, an almost ironic thing if you will. These CFL bulbs contain a “small” amount of mercury so they can not be thrown away in the trash, they must be disposed of properly. There are many CFL recycling locations so check them out and please dispose of your bulbs properly.
The event happens Saturday, July 11th and Sunday, July 12th from 10am-4pm at the Renton Lowe’s, 1000 Garden Ave N.
